MD Acoustics founded by Mike Dickerson, provides acoustical consulting services for noise and vibration control. Located in Phoenix, Arizona and in Simi Valley, California our clients range from the aerospace industry to municipalities to private land developers. MD has completed numerous environmental noise control projects, acoustical engineering studies, assessments and designs throughout California and Arizona. In addition to noise and vibration engineering services, MD Acoustics also offers audio engineering services, air quality studies, and greenhouse gas assessments.

Airport, Traffic and Environmental Noise: investigate, access, predict and establish noise levels associated with airports, traffic and other environmental noise issues. Create or develop noise exposure maps.

Architectural / Room Acoustics: control, shape, absorb, deflect, attenuate airborne and structural-borne noise.

Floor/Ceiling/Wall Assembly Design and Testing: design and field test the sound attenuation performance of partitions (IIC/STC).

Industrial Noise: investigate, assess, and attenuate noise impacts from HVAC, pumps, generators, plumbing, loading docks and other stationary noise source

Noise Compliance: investigate, assess and determine if noise levels are in compliance with noise specification.

Noise Impact Reports: investigate, assess, predict and establish environmental noise impacts and demonstrate results in a report format.

Noise and Vibration Control: investigate, assess and attenuate vibration impacts from structural-borne noise.

MD utilizes a variety of computational measurement methods, equipment and analytical software to complete all work. MD’s equipment is portable, up-to-date and easy to use. MD’s technical resources allows the company to be extremely productive, organized and thorough.

Our Mission:

Established in 2012, MD Acoustics (MD) is an acoustical engineering firm specializing in sound solutions for planning and design. Acoustical consultants and noise engineers support: architects, interior designers, land developers, planners, the aerospace industry and the audio industry. We listen to each client’s need, help them explore acoustical solutions during the planning and design stages of a project, and provide engineering assessments. Our desire is to provide accurate and cost-effective solutions in a timely manner.

MD Acoustics believes that most issues related to acoustical design and air quality consulting can be discovered and mitigated through proper assessment and design techniques.
