Load King Manufacturing

Load King was founded by James Merrill Chupp in 1973. With the help of his two sons, James Jr. and Charles, he began manufacturing equipment for the supermarket industry. They specialized in building stainless steel tables, sinks, trays, and other furnishings for deli's, pharmacies, and other in-store departments. In 1995 the company adapted to changing market conditions and began providing a turnkey solution for the food-service industry.Today we operate out of the very same building that we opened up shop in—a renovated structure built in 1919 with over 200,000 square feet of production space. Our facilities are located in the economically distressed New Town section of Jacksonville. As a cornerstone of the community we foster a culture of caring and persistently pursue an active role in bettering our surrounding environment.
