TQ Environmental Plc
10 Flanshaw Way, Wakefield, United Kingdom | Waste recycling
TQ Environmental is a UK based company specialising in the design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and servicing of high quality fixed gas detection instruments and gas monitoring systems, to a wide range of worldwide industries. The company is recognised for its excellence in customer service and quality being certified to ISO 9001 (reg no UK LRQ 0958602).
TQ Environmental has extensive experience in manufacturing gas detection instruments and gas monitoring systems for oxygen, toxic, flammable and refrigerant gases. Our products can be seen at many UK and worldwide sites from atomic energy plants to telephone exchanges. Our Refrigeration detection equipment is helping large retail outlets comply with current F-gas legislation, regarding the control of HFC's.
Our General gas detection instruments and gas monitoring systems are used in industrial plants, commercial buildings and off-shore oil installations, where gas detection is required to protect the workforce from flammable, toxic and asphyxiant gases. All systems are designed to the latest UK, and applicable worldwide recognised specifications and standards.
Our Marine Monitoring Systems include gas detection instruments and Systems for monitoring ballast tanks, accommodation and void spaces on oil tankers and chemical tankers. Our LNG and LPG carriers gas detection instruments and systems are manufactured for use in the inter barrier areas, accommodation and boil off gas areas.
The food and drink manufacturing environment incorporates the use of many gases including carbon dioxide, nitrogen and refrigerants. These can present a hazard to both plant and personnel if leakage should occur in terms of explosive, asphyxiant and toxic risk.
Our TQ4300 system can monitor all of these gasses, either as a single gas monitoring system, targeting specific gasses. A dual gas system for refrigeration monitoring or with an included Oxygen or Carbon Dioxide sensors for brewery and food installations. Alternatively our TQ4200 Leak detector is specifically designed for Refrigeration Leak Detection. Satisfying F-Gas regulations for 300kg installations and qualifying under the ECA scheme.
Chemical plants can be inherently dangerous environments due to the possible leakage of toxic, asphyxiant or explosive materials and gases. Prudent deployment of gas detection prevents exposure to both plant and personnel. Our range of Single point detectors and control panels can cater for a large range of Flammable and Toxic gasses.
For cold storage applications our 4200 or 4300 systems can provide Freon or CO2 leak detection. Or our TQ 122 series of sensors and control panels offer Ammonia detection to comply with EN 378 regulations. In addition Flammable, Carbon Monoxide and Oxygen can be monitored, using point detectors or a 4300 sampling system for Bulk Storage applications, such as Coal dust, Carbon Fibres, Grain or Wood Chip storage.
With many new industrial units being build on old reclaimed landfill site. Our range of Single point Flammable detectors or Flammable IR Multipoint systems for larger installations. Will protect against the flammable hazards, of built up gas permeating through the ground and collecting in new buildings.
The presence of generated methane along with associated hydrogen sulphide and oxygen deficiency are monitored on sewage works to give early warning to personnel working in the vicinity. Chlorine, ozone and ammonia in water installations also present a toxic hazard and require continuous monitoring. In- situ infra-red gas analysers, continuously monitor the methane content in digester gas.
The GD129 sensor or the TQ122 range of sensors for gas detection are highly reliable and cost effective. They each output at 4/20mA and are compatible with the TQ4000 and TQ8000 control systems although being 4-20mA output devices they are compatible with other PLC's. The GD129 uses highly reliable infra red technology. This system is very cost effective and provides a highly reliable, easy to maintain gas detection system.
The build up of Carbon Monoxide and Carbon Dioxide in subterranean car parks can pose a serious risk to personnel. However running ventilation systems constantly is very costly.
TQ systems offer highly reliable and extremely accurate systems to detect these levels which can then be used to activate and deactivate forced ventilation systems, thus improving efficiently and reducing cost. TQ 122 sensors and control panels can cope with any size installation.
