Geotextile Dewatering Tubes
Geotextile Dewatering Tubes are tubular in design and made from high strength woven geotextile fabric. They are also referred to as a Geotube or Geotubes because of their design and composition. SPINPRO Dewatering Tubes are presently used in many hydraulic dredging and pumping applications. Dewatering Bags generally refer to the hanging bags, cubic yard bags and or roll off bags while Dewatering Tubes and Geotubes reference the larger tubes. Our geotextile dewatering tubes are fabricated into various size cylinders or tubes under a strict quality controlled process from high strength geotextiles using patented technology for superior seam strength. The capacity of the geotextile dewatering tube is based on the circumference of the tube per linear foot or meter and multiplied by the unit measurement. For example a 45′ (3 meter) circumference tube will hold approximately 3.78 yards³ (2.89 Meters³) per linear foot so a 100′ bag (33.3meters) will hold approximately 378 yards³ (289 meters³). While this formula is approximate it will vary by the type of sediment being dewatered.
Automated Polymer Dosing
Intelligent Electronic Polymer Dosage Optimizer. Our unit cross references particle size, opacity and supernatant, saving over dosing and under dosing. This unit saves up to 35% on present systems as well as increasing throughput, water clarity and cake solids. The OptiMizer is a self contained, portable PLC controlled slurry processing system. The adaptable sensors integrate directly to the dredge/pump pipeline to monitor and treat sludge prior to the de-watering tubes and/or de-watering devices. As the slurry passes the floc analyzer, feedback is sent to the polymer dosage controller. The information is inter read with other parameters including flow, trending, etc. to calculate and dose the slurry with the optimal amount of polymer. This not only minimizes the amount and cost of treatment, but ensures that the materials have not been under dosed or overdosed. Absence of constant optimization can cause process swings and will lead to poor de-watering and resulting in higher TSS and more water remaining in de-watered sludge. Other features include instantaneous polymer solution adjustments, ability to de-water with liquid or dry polymers, enhanced treatment with multiple injection points, adaptable to any size pipeline, and has the capability of sending wireless data to a monitor dredge. The operation of the dredge can further optimize throughput, quality, etc. with real time monitoring. The treated slurry is then moved to the de-watering application such as Geotextile tubes, traditional containment or other methods of de-watering and processing. The PLC provides real time information of the process which then can be printed, stored or monitored from a remote location.
