The Allentown Recycling Drop Off Center is on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive in Allentown next to the 15th Street Bridge (below the YMCA). You do not have to be an Allentown resident or business to use the Center. The Drop Off Center is open to businesses and residents everywhere, 24/7/365! Paper accepted for Shredding Monday-Friday 8 am-4pm, Saturday 8am- 12noon.The Center is jointly run by the City of Allentown, Bureau of Recycling & Solid Waste and the Lehigh County Juvenile Probation Department. Over $700,000 has been paid to victims from Drop Off Center proceeds.Allentown Clean & Green / Don't Trash Allentown is a cooperative effort between people who care and the City of Allentown to reduce litter, promote community pride and beautify Allentown.If you have an idea or are interested in getting involved, we'd like to hear from you! If you need help please call the Hotline or send us your Clean and Green comments.Allentown provides curbside trash, recycling and yard waste collection for residents who live in homes and most apartment buildings with less than 26 units.Trash is collected twice a week from every home.Recyclables and yard waste are collected once a week on one of your two trash nights.Place your trash, recyclables and yard waste out after 5:00 p.m. and before 10:00 p.m. on your collection nights.Allentown residents have recycled over 52,000 tons of paper, bottles and cans and over 20,000 tons of yard waste since curbside collection began in 1990!
