The Weir-Wolf™ automated brush system is designed to clean the weirs, baffles, effluent spillways and launders of water and wastewater clarifiers and thickeners. The Weir-Wolf weir cleaning systems are designed to attach to the skimmer arms of these tanks without adding any additional strain, torque nor energy consumption to drive motors of the clarifiers and thickeners.The Ford Hall Company has 32 variations of the automated weir cleaning system for installation on circular, multisided, domed, covered or open clarifiers and thickeners. The very sturdy and corrosion resistant automated weir cleaner has been installed under domes and oceanfront plants with highly corrosive applications, in extremely high temperature industrial clarifiers, at sites with heavy snowfalls on open clarifiers or in heavy solids thickeners.With the Weir-Wolf system, all brush arms are Spring Loaded to ensure a thorough cleaning of all effluent surfaces; no matter how irregular or 'out of round' those surfaces may be.The Weir-Wolf Individual Brushes are designed to make physical contact with all surfaces to be cleaned, even those surfaces under water. By the brushes making physical contact with the surface, the cleaning capability is better than with a hose or sprays.The Weir-Wolf features a 5 year Warranty on parts and 1 year Warranty on labor with the exception of the brushes.The Weir-Wolf Brush life designed to average 1 year with 24 hour / 7 day a week use. Replacement brushes are recommended to be purchased from the Ford Hall Company for these reasons.The Weir-Wolf features enhanced Lock in/ Lock out design for customized cleanings; allowing for 24 hours per day - 7 days a week cleanings or intermittent cleanings based on customer need or application. Intermittent cleanings will extend the life of the brushes beyond the 1 year mark, and in some instances, 2 to 3 years for one set of brushes has been observed.The Weir-Wolf uses existing clarifier/ thickener drives; requires no additional power source or electricity. The Weir-Wolf system attaches directly to the skimmer. The Weir-Wolf automated weir cleaning system does not adversely affect the drive of the clarifiers and thickeners and has a negligible increase in energy consumption but provides the added benefit of weir cleaning. For this reason, some have even categorized the Weir-Wolf system as a 'green technology'. (Unfortunately, spray weir cleaning systems often require a booster pump to supply enough water pressure to all the nozzles to complete the weir cleaning task.
