Afton Pumps, Inc is a privately held corporation with headquarters located in Houston, Texas and sales representatives located throughout the world, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Middle East, Europe, and parts of Southeast Asia.

Afton's primary business is the design, manufacture, and support of heavy duty, vertical inline process pumps and vertical turbine can pumps used for pumping dangerous liquids such as light hydrocarbons. Each and every Afton pump is designed for its intended use. Afton also specializes in non-standard materials of construction such as 316 SS, duplex SS, and Alloy 20, along with our standard materials of construction.

Engineering Department
Each Afton engineer is a specialist in his own area and together they have practical application background unrivaled in the industry. This group produces pumping equipment with an enviable, industry-wide reputation for reliability. Afton's engineering experience ranges from new pump design to redesign of existing products, including redesign of other manufacturers' pumps. Afton can also meet the needs for variable speed control including torsional, lateral and seismic requirements.

Services

Service Department

Afton has a fully equipped service department staffed with individuals who have an average of over twenty years rotating equipment service experience. Our service department is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. This provides Afton customers with jobsite trouble shooting, backed by factory facilities on all makes of industrial centrifugal pumps, both horizontal and vertical, at the plantsite or in Afton's facilities.

Testing Facility

Afton's performance test facility consists of two separate systems. A closed loop system rated to 6,000 GPM, 1,100 PSI differential pressures and NPSH capability for performance testing in accordance with API-610, specifications and hydraulic institute standards.

An open sump system rated from 6,000 to 20,000 GPM, and 225 PSI differential pressure.

The electrical system for both systems is rated to 800 HP for all standard voltages through 2,300 V.

Hydrostatic pressures can be performed to 3,330 PSI.
