About Airius       

The Air Pear and Designer Series are energy efficient air turbines, designed to continuously move a column of air to the floor for destratification purposes. A typical Airius installation includes a series of units mounted just below the ceiling, evenly spaced throughout a facility, working in concert to improve comfort and reduce HVAC energy consumption. Airius Fans are available in several models to accommodate ceiling heights from 8 to 100 feet, ranging from the short Model 10 to the largest Model 100.

Design & Engineering

The Air Pear and Designer Series are energy efficient air turbines, designed to continuously move a column of air to the floor. A typical Airius installation includes a series of units mounted just below the ceiling, evenly spaced throughout a facility, working in concert to improve comfort and reduce HVAC energy consumption.

With any axial fan, the spinning blades induce a rotational component into the air stream causing turbulence and reduced throw.  Airius’ patented multi-vane stator (pictured above) removes and transfers the rotational energy, to create columnar laminar flow with increased throw distance. The velocity of the air column induces surrounding air to entrain into the column, effectively multiplying the air turned within the space. The non-turbulent air column continuously moves towards the floor where it impacts and is distributed radially to thermally equalize a space.

Air Pear Free Hanging Fans

The original Airius fan, first introduced in 2004, is available in several models with various motors and controls to accommodate ceiling heights from 8 to 100 feet, ranging from the short Model 10 to the largest Model 100. Utilizing Airius’ patented stator technology, the fans maximize throw distance using minimal power. Free hanging units are available in off white, gray or black. Model 100 only available in off white.

Air Pear Suspended Ceiling Fans

The Air Pear Suspended Ceiling model functions the same as a traditional Air Pear and installs into a 2 ft. x 2 ft. T-bar ceiling grid, allowing for an easy and unobtrusive installation. The dome over the top of the unit separates the upper ceiling space from the conditioned space below. Available in off white or black.

Designer Series Fans

The Designer Series functions the same as a traditional Air Pear, but it’s enclosed in a cylindrical housing for architecturally sensitive installations. The custom made Designer Series is available with several motor and control options and can be custom painted to match your facility.

Photohydroionzation (PHI) Cell

The PHI air purification and odor control cell can be incorporated into either the Air Pear or Designer Series fans. The cell emits natural air purifiers called ionized hydroperoxides that are evenly circulated throughout a space by the Air Pear or Designer Series fans. The PHI cell can improve indoor air quality by mitigating bacteria, viruses, mold, odors and VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) that plague many indoor environments.

Airius^®, the manufacturer of the Air Pear^® and Designer Series fans, destratifies unlike any other product on the market.  The combination of our patented stator system and tapered Venturi design moves air 8-100+ feet vertically using minimal power to balance temperatures from floor to ceiling and wall to wall, reducing HVAC costs while increasing thermal comfort.

All Airius fans feature a unique nozzle design and patented stator system to ensure that a laminar non-turbulent column of air is delivered from the ceiling to the floor below where we live and work. With any axial fan, there exists a radial component to the air flow causing it to spread laterally and lose velocity when leaving the blades. Airius’ patented fixed blade stator sits below the fan to transfer this rotational component into linear motion exiting the nozzle. Having all the airflow energy in line with the fan axis promotes a tight air column and maximizes the throw. Another design aspect that helps to maximize throw is the shape of the nozzle. Utilizing the Venturi effect, the nozzle increases the exit speed and allows for the air throw to be maximized even further.

The combination of housing shape, patented stator and energy efficient motors is what makes Airius fans unique in delivering air over long distances using minimal power.
