About Us
FINN Corporation, based near Cincinnati, Ohio, made a name for itself in the landscape and erosion control marketplaces when the doors to a small shop were opened by Charles Finn in 1935. His revolutionary invention of a machine that was designed to chop and apply straw for mulching bare soil paved the way for a pattern of high quality, labor-saving equipment for decades to follow under the FINN name.
Following the Straw Blower, Finn invented the first HydroSeeder® in 1953 to efficiently shoot seed and fertilizers over broad areas. This was more than a product innovation – it was the seed that grew an entirely new industry of turf and erosion control contractors.
With this pioneering spirit part of its culture and utilizing a vast dealer network along with highly-dedicated and knowledgeable sales representatives, FINN Corporation has grown to a world-wide leader in the manufacture and sale of erosion control and landscape equipment and products.
Equipment
Get more productivity while cutting labor and material costs with FINN landscape and erosion control equipment. The FINN Corporation has developed extensive product lines such as HydroSeeders®, Bark Blowers, Straw Blowers, Material Transfer System (MTS), and Hydroseeding Consumables. Not only has FINN extended its expertise into the development and commercialization of these diverse product lines, but FINN has also opened its arms to a number of additional industries including construction, golf, mine reclamation, landfills and equipment rentals.
Hydroseeders
The first Hydroseeder was invented by FINN in 1953, and trademarked thereafter, to efficiently shoot seed and fertilizers over broad areas. This invention was more than a product innovation- it was the seed that grew and entirely new industry of turf and erosion control contractors.
Hydroseeding is more efficient than sodding, broadcast seeding, or any other method of establishing turf or controlling erosion. FINN Hydroseeders use 100% hydraulically driven, mechanical paddle agitation and liquid recirculation to enhance the loading, mixing and discharge operation.
Compared with other manufacturers units, only FINN’s exclusive pump design, variety of units ranging from 300-4000 gallon capacities, and numerous options provides for a more powerful and operator-friendly Hydroseeder, while keeping maintenance costs low.
Materials
FINN is much more than an equipment manufacturer. We offer a wide range of special additives or consumables designed specifically for FINN HydroSeeders and their applications. We also offer Alternative Daily Cover (ADC) products for landfill applications, and our newest offering is the FINN TRU-Mulch product line.
