An employee-owned company, RainWise Inc. manufactures professional grade meteorological equipment for consumer, enterprise, and industrial applications. RainWise incorporated in 1974, deriving the company's name from our original product, the remote reading tipping bucket rain gauge. Tipping bucket technology is now the industry standard, and just one of the many unique product designs that RainWise has contributed to the advancement of weather monitoring; in 1981 we again led the world by developing the 1st digital weather station! We are excited about being at the forefront of weather monitoring technology, and are committed to working closely with the emerging renewable energy market to deliver premier wind and solar related equipment.

Our selection of more than 50 rain and temperature gauges, monitors, sensors, and related software are proudly made right here in the United States, and are known for their exceptional durability and fine accuracy. In 1991 RainWise was awarded the coveted GSA status, making our company's products available to over 700 Government agencies. Company History

RainWise Inc. is a privately owned company incorporated in Pennsylvania in 1974. The name was derived from the original product, a tipping bucket remote reading rain gauge.

In 1981 the company moved to Bar Harbor, Maine and the development of a new line of electronic consumer weather instrumentation began with the WS-1000, the first digital 'consumer' weather station.

In 1985 the company built a new manufacturing/showroom facility in downtown Bar Harbor. The success of the consumer based instrument line led to the development of an Industrial product line in 1991. The Industrial equipment quickly became recognized for its customizable configuration, NIST traceability and an unheard of at the time 5 year warranty.

RainWise has continued to supply innovative consumer products and turn-key Industrial systems. The General Service Administration awarded RainWise with a GSA contract in 1991. Under this contract the company's products are available to over 700 Government agencies.

Today, RainWise is a proud, employee-owned company which continues to produce American-made products. Live Weather

RainWise offers several weather stations that have the ability to upload data to the Internet. Aside from the RainwiseNet cloud hosting service, we have partnered with several other entities. This page contains examples of these services in action. Data is provided by a MK-III-LR weather station, IP-100 Ethernet Interface and CC-3000 data logger.

RainwiseNet cloud hosting provides up to the minute weather data from your weather station. No computer is needed when using the IP-100 interface. The IP-100 connects directly to your router. Weather data is received wirelessly from the MK-III weather station and sent on to the cloud.

With RainwiseNet you will get your own weather page like the one shown on the left. You can access this page from any web enabled device. There are also iPhone, iPad and Android apps available.
