SolarBOS was founded in 2004 with the vision of developing cost effective and reliable BOS solutions for the PV industry. SolarBOS' first product was a configurable 600 volt combiner box which allowed customers to specify the number of circuits and the NEMA rating of the enclosure.

Since then, SolarBOS has grown to become a respected name within the solar industry. SolarBOS has supported nearly over 5,000 MW worth of projects to date. In 2014, a second manufacturing location was established in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to better serve our customers located in the Mid West and the East Coast, expanding the total manufacturing space to more than 65,000 square feet.

SolarBOS is also regarded as one of the most innovative companies in the BOS space. We were the first company to offer Disconnect Combiners, the first to offer Contactor Combiners, and the first to offer a working Arc Fault Detection AND Circuit Interruption solution integrated into a combiner box, listed to both UL-1741 and UL-1699B.

Combiner Boxes

SolarBOS offers Combiner Boxes with many integrated features and options, including Arc Fault Detection, Disconnect Switches, Contactors, Current Sensors, and Surge Arrestors. SolarBOS offers combiners up to 36 circuits at 600 or 1000 VDC with NEMA-3R, 4 and 4X enclosures.

Recombiners & Fuse Boxes

SolarBOS Recombiners and Fuse Boxes typically fit between the string combiners and the inverter. The various disconnect, breaker, contactor, and GFI options; allow installers to meet the letter of the new NEC fuse servicing requirements (690.16B) and deliver a safe and reliable system.
