H2ecO

Unit 3a Glenmore Business Park Holton Heath , Poole , United Kingdom | Energy

H2ecO is a family - run business, that is passionate about affordable renewable energy for homes and businesses in and around Dorset. Solar panels are now better and cheaper than ever! We have a wide range of options to suit almost any home or business.

For all of our technologies we offer a full design, supply and installation service or in certain circumstances an ongoing service contract.

We develop projects for ourselves as well as our customers so we understand what is important in the systems we supply:

  1.     Reliability.

  2.     Return on Investment.

  3.     Minimal Maintenance.

  4.     Genuine contribution to Carbon Emission Reduction.

We will only ever install systems that we would be happy to invest into ourselves for the long-term.

Our business philosophy is one of partnership, therefore we DO NOT employ any hard-sell tactics. We are MCS registered and are signed up to RECC assurance code. Which all MCS companies must be.

If you are interested in talking to us about possible installation, we will never ask you to sign anything on the day, rather we will answer your questions and design a system that best suits your needs, or let you know that a particular technology may not be suitable for your location.

Solar PV

How does Solar Power work?

In simple terms, the energy from the sun is collected by the panels we mount on the roof or ground and is converted into DC electricity (the type that comes out of a battery).

The DC electricity is not useable as mains electricity and needs to be converted. That is the job of the inverter.

The Inverter is the heart of the system and converts the DC electricity to mains electricity that can be fed into your property for you to use and/or be exported back to the grid. The inverter works totally automatically and does not require any attention in normal operation.

The power from the inverter feeds into your fuse board and is used directly by your household appliances. If more is needed than your system generates, additional power is drawn from the grid automatically. At certain times, the system may generate more than you are using, at which time the power will flow into the national grid someone else can use it. Your home has become a mini-power station.

You get paid a FiT payment for every unit of energy you generate plus a payment for energy you export to the grid. In addition, you get to use the energy for free. It really is too good to be true.

this is then transferred and stored in a hot water cylinder.

There are two types of solar water heating panels:

  • Evacuated tubes, usually roof mounted.

  • Flat plate collectors, either roof mounted or integrated in the roof.

The heating provided by these systems varies throughout the year, and as such they are used in conjunction with traditional style boilers of immersion heaters. In the summer a system could provide the majority of your hot water although this will be substantially lower in the winter.

Working to a sustainable future

“Biomass” is not a new concept to those in the business of power generation. It may, however, be a new idea to SME's and local firms looking to improve their fuel-efficiency and take steps towards making their businesses carbon neutral. 'Biomass' is biological material derived from living, or recently living organisms. When used to generate the energy the term is often used to mean plant based material, but biomass can equally apply to both animal and vegetable derived material.

Biomass & Your Business

It is no longer technically difficult or preventatively expensive for your business to harness the financial savings and environmental benefits of Biomass Power Generation. Installing a Biomass Boiler can be done without disrupting your normal business operation and the benefits almost immediate...

Deal with the Specialists

As a biomass specialist we offer an extensive range of high quality and high performance boilers, with a choice of sizes and fuel types. With boilers ranging from 9kW to over 20kW we can specify and design the perfect system for you.

Biomass

In a world where we all need to reduce our dependence on fixed carbon fuel sources such as oil and gas, biomass is rapidly gaining popularity as  it represents not only an environmentally friendly fuel source, but with government incentives available it is also a sound financial investment.

Biomass - How does it work?

Biomass is biological material made up of living or recently living organisms.  In terms of biomass for energy we are often referring to plant based material but equally it can mean animal and vegetable derived materials.  Using biomass as a fuel is considered a green source of energy because the plants or living organisms will have consumed an equal amount of carbon dioxide in their lifetime as they will emit when burnt.

A biomass boiler system burns biomass to create heat energy.  The biomass chips or pellets are fed into the burner pot below the smoke duct heat exchanger.  It is here that the heat from the smoke is transferred to the central heating water via conductive thermal transfer as the hot smoke passes through the exchanger.  The system pump then circulates the hot water to your heating system and/or your hot water storage tank.

Biomass Fuel

There is a wide variety of fuels available for biomass boilers, the most popular being wooden logs, pellets, or chips. Logs are the simplest form of biomass fuel, while pellets a similar level of control to an oil or gas burning boiler. The boilers themselves will monitor and regulate air supply, fuel transfer, and ignition to optimise efficiency at all times.
