AXYS Technologies (AXYS) is an ISO 9001 registered Canadian company with 40 years of experience in the design, manufacture and installation of remote environmental monitoring systems worldwide. We apply our knowledge and experience to marine, freshwater, land-based monitoring stations, and offshore wind resource assessment systems. These systems measure aquatic, oceanic, and atmospheric parameters specific to the client’s needs. Additionally we offer technical field services to train and support customers in the successful operation and maintenance of their products.

We are located in beautiful Sidney on Vancouver Island – Canada`s west coast. Our proximity to the ocean allows us to test our buoys and new technology easily and comprehensively with the rugged west coast Pacific Ocean.

Core Technology

The WatchMan500 is the central payload for AXYS marine buoy and terrestrial weather information systems to provide desktop to sensor monitoring and control, including dynamic onboard control and data storage capabilities. This payload enables data monitoring, collection, control, processing, and/or remote system management, and can interface with custom or commercial off-the-shelf sensors, equipment, software, and telemetry.

Products

Buoys
Moored buoys for weather, wave, and sea-state forecasting, as well as wind resource assessment, underwater acoustics, red tide, and oil spill detection, within marine and freshwater environments. Typical buoys measure winds, waves, currents, atmospheric pressure, air temperature, relative humidity, solar radiation, water temperature, and others as required.

Land Stations
Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS) is a land-based monitoring station for the collection, processing, and distribution of aviation weather data.
