The market leading range of Mabey modular panel bridges has been supplied to 140 countries around the world, with customers including national governments, NGO’s, global mining corporations and national military forces. These rapid erect steel panel bridges provide temporary and permanent infrastructure solutions for application in major cities, disaster stricken areas and remote regions.

Within the UK and Ireland, Mabey Bridge has a strong heritage in the fabrication and construction of heavy plate structures for the Highway Bridge, Railway Bridge and Footbridge markets. Mabey Bridge has close relationships with many of the UK’s civil engineering contractors and is distinguished by a strong track record in the safe delivery of bridge construction and installation projects.

Transferring Mabey Bridge’s core knowledge into the UK’s renewable energy industry, we have invested in awind turbine tower facility having the capacity to satisfy half the UK’s domestic onshore need, and capability to produce other tubular structured steelwork for the energy and construction industry.

Mabey Bridge’s Construction Services division brings the company’s extensive experience in steel fabrication, heavy lifting and site erection to bridge construction, bridge installation, wind turbine towers, and wind farm installation projects.

Dating back to Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s Railway Bridge construction over the Wye River in 1849, the company has delivered and erected thousands of heavy plate steel bridges for the road and rail network across the UK and Ireland.
Since the 1960s Mabey Bridge has been supplying high quality modular steel Panel Bridges for temporary and permanent infrastructure projects around the globe. The company’s range of Panel Bridges are modern day derivatives of the original ‘Bailey Bridge’ that played such an important role in the reconstruction of Europe following the Second World War. Based upon the same core principles, Mabey Bridge has developed a range of rapid erect, modular steel bridging systems, that are used for a wide variety of applications around the world.
In 2009, a £38m investment into a new custom designed facility expanded the company’s portfolio of steel products to include wind turbine towers, monopiles and other tubular steel fabrications essential to decarbonising the UK’s energy mix.
