Sona Resources Corp.

Sona Resources Corp. is a junior resource company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, specializing in gold exploration, development and mining in North America. The Sona board of directors and management have decades of combined experience in the mineral exploration and mining industry, and in managing and financing junior exploration companies.

Since its inception in 1990, Sona has engaged in exploration activities at its 100 percent owned mineral properties in Canada and the United States, as well as small-scale gold production at its flagship property, the Blackdome Gold Mine, in south-central B.C. Since 2002 at its Elizabeth Gold Property, 220 kilometres north of Vancouver, Sona has completed four diamond drill programs that have outlined a 206,000-ounce inferred gold resource.

Sona will focus primarily on bringing the Blackdome Gold Mine and Elizabeth Gold Property to full production by 2012, and to creating positive cash flow from these properties, which total 29,000 hectares. The Company’s immediate goal is to resume production at its permitted milling facility at the past-producing Blackdome Gold Mine.

Sona holds a 100 percent interest in two other promising properties. The Callaghan Project, a 420-hectare prospective gold exploration project in Nevada, is located within 80 kilometres of several producing mines. The more advanced Montgolfier Project, a 6,900-hectare property in Quebec, lies 40 kilometres east of the multimillion-ounce Casa Berardi Mine gold deposit, and straddles a 30-kilometre strike length along the Casa Berardi deformation zone.
