At Maertens, jewelry is our passion! We love to wear it, make it, fix it, sell it, look at it and talk about it.

Maertens Fine Jewelry and Gifts was founded by Heather Maertens (pictured in center) in October 2002. Maertens store is one with traditional roots that delivers unmistakable quality and craftsmanship and exceptional customer service. Our customers love us for our unique selection of jewelry and are always surprised to see designs they’ve never seen in any other jewelry store.

For more than 10 years, Maertens Fine Jewelry & Gifts has strived to be the best custom jeweler in Calvert County. In 2010, Heather Maertens consolidated her stores at the Solomons Town Center and Solomons Pier, opening in a new location in the Lusby Town Center. Clients can expect to find the same jewelry collections, handbag designers and gift selections that they loved in a more convenient location.

Services

Jewelry Repair :
We offer jewelry repair services that are performed on-site. Heather Maertens is the owner and jeweler at Maertens Fine Jewelry & Gifts. She received her training at Gem City College in Quincy, Illinois. Heather has been repairing for nearly 15 years, her experience gives her the ability to skillfully repair modern pieces as well as cherished heirlooms.

Jewelry Appraisals :
Our jewelry appraisals are prepared by Jamie Tiralla, a Graduate Gemologist of the Gemological Institute of America and Certified Gemologist of the American Gem Society. Our jewelry appraisals are thorough and include detailed information along with a photograph of the piece. We offer jewelry appraisals for insurance replacement and estate valuation.

Watch Repair :
We offer in house watch repair services for watch battery replacement, watch band replacement and other minor repairs. Other watches are sent out for repair either to the manufacturer or to our watch repair facility in Ohio. Watches that are sent out for replacement are treated with extreme care and insured for their replacement value.

Engraving :
Unlike most jewelers who only offer machine engraving, Maertens Fine Jewelry & Gifts offers hand engraving as well as machine engraving. Heather Maertens is trained in the lost art of hand engraving and can create unique designs to accent jewelry, silverware, flatware and more.
