Uranerz Energy Corporation is a U.S. mining company that commenced in-situ recovery ('ISR') uranium mining operations on April 15, 2014 at its first ISR mine in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming. The Uranerz management team has specialized expertise in the ISR uranium mining method, and has a successful track record of licensing, constructing, and operating ISR uranium projects. Uranerz has a processing agreement with Cameco, the world's largest public uranium company and has entered into long-term uranium sales contracts for a portion of its planned production with two of the largest nuclear utilities in the U.S., including Exelon.

HISTORY:

Our Corporate Name 'Uranerz' means 'uranium ore' (in German).Uranerz Energy Corporation has an experienced team of mining personnel, many of whom are former officers, senior management and employees of the original Uranerz Exploration and Mining Limited and related companies (the 'Uranerz Group'). The Uranerz Group was the world's third largest uranium producer when it was acquired in 1998 by Cameco, the world's largest primary uranium producer. Uranerz Energy Corporation has expertise in the in-situ recovery mining method. Our management team has direct experience in licensing, designing, constructing or operating seven separate in-situ recovery uranium mines located in Wyoming, Texas, Nebraska, and Kazakhstan. Uranerz Energy Corporation is growing and expanding rapidly. It was in July of 2005 that management was able to get its corporate name changed to 'Uranerz', a corporate identity most of them had worked with before. This management team has the experience, the contacts, the ability, the competency and the desire to build Uranerz into a significant producer of uranium. LogoThe Uranerz Energy logo represents three symbolic ideas. The first idea is the atomic symbol. The second idea is the letter 'U' (for 'Uranium' or 'Uranerz') represented by one of the 'swooshes'. The third idea is that all three 'swooshes' are shaped to look like a typical uranium-mineralized 'roll front' (the sandstone roll fronts that can host the uranium deposits in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming).
