OVERVIEW

Alexco's business is to manage risk and unlock value at mature, closed or abandoned mine sites through integration and implementation of the Company's core competencies which include management of environmental services, implementation of innovative treatment technologies, execution of mine reclamation and closure operations and if appropriate, rejuvenation of exploration and development activity. Alexco Resource Group includes its wholly owned subsidiaries, Access Mining Consultants and Alexco Resource (US) Corp. Alexco's expertise in environmental, technical and operations management allows the Company to better manage risk and unlock value at client's sites and projects.

DESCRIPTION

Alexco owns 100% of the historic Keno Hill Silver District, located in Canada's Yukon Territory. The Bellekeno silver mine, one of the world's highest-grade silver mines with a production grade of up to 1,000 grams per tonne, commenced commercial production at the beginning of calendar year 2011 and was Canada's only operating primary silver mine from 2011 to 2013. Alexco recently announced an interim suspension of operations at Bellekeno in order to decrease costs and reposition the District for long-term, sustainable operations. Alexco is rapidly exploring other promising high-grade silver prospects on its other District properties. Two more mines are already well into development, and the recent discovery of one of the largest deposits ever in the District point to the prolific and prospective nature of Keno Hill. Alexco has a goal of identifying 100 million ounces of silver in this historic District and ramping up to more than 7 million ounces of annual silver production over the next decade.
