WELCOME to Asheboro Recycling Center.

Asheboro Recycling Center is the largest full service scrap metal processing facility in Randolph County, North Carolina. For years we have provided metal recycling services for individuals and companies throughout the Piedmont-Triad area. Our goal has always been to provide professional and courteous service, competitive prices and a safe environment for our customers and employees to recycle.

Purchased in 2002 by Kim Markham, a former assistant plant manager with Energizer, Asheboro Recycling Center has provided the community at large a much-needed local recycling resource. In a continued commitment to community and recycling, Asheboro Recycling Center saw the need to expand its services and relocated its recycling operations in 2007 to a 13 acre site on Southmount Drive in South Asheboro. There a 33,000 square foot warehouse was built to handle its growing recycling capabilities and provide the community even greater opportunities for recycling.

Asheboro Recycling Center currently employs 30 full time and 4 part-time employees as well as seasonal summertime employees.

In 2009, Asheboro Recycling Center was honored with the Asheboro/Randolph Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year award. Through continued leadership and foresight and the combined efforts of all its employees, Asheboro Recycling Center continues to develop additional recycling businesses and projects and recently forged a partnership with the City of Asheboro to handle its curbside recycling service. Asheboro Recycling Center is also an active member of the Asheboro/Randolph Chamber Commerce and was instrumental in the formation and growth the Chamber’s Randolph Professional Network (RPN) where Kim served as its past President. Kim is also an active member of the Mid-Sate Rotary Club in Asheboro.

We serve everyone from the individual scrap metal seller to major manufacturing operations. No job is too large or small.

Pick up services

We provide professional and dependable hauling services to industrial plants, demolition contractors, auto-wrecking yards, fabricators, stamping operations, electrical contractors, farmers, and anyone who generates scrap metal volume.

We utilize various styles and sizes of containers including 40’ traliers with sides, roll-off boxes, flat bed trailers, tilt hoppers and bins of various sizes depending upon the needs of our customers. We will even build a special container if necessary to accommodate our customers’ special requirements.
