COMPANY OVERVIEW

Turtle Wings is a fully certified electronics recycler primarily servicing the DC/MD/VA area. We are a woman-owned business that will come to any office or household to pick up and recycle all electronics. We pick up and recycle all computers, monitors, printers, copiers, mainframes, telecom equipment, hubs, stereos, cell phones, keyboards, and misc. electronics regardless of their condition. We provide hard drive and tape destruction services.

All materials collected are recycled either by refurbishing or by our closed loop recycling process which complies with all applicable local, state and federal regulations. Our closed loop recycling process is as follows: All material is broken down to their individual material levels (metal, wire, plastic, etc.) and collected in Gaylord boxes for shipment to a re-processor. Monitors are processed with glass to glass recycling techniques.

Turtle Wings has a no e-waste landfill policy; strict export controls; and complete pollution insurance coverage. We have held the federal government contract for electronics recycling # GS-10F0134V.

We are R2 certified and the federal government mandates that only certified recyclers are allowed to recycle government electronics and media devices that contain circuit boards. This includes PC’s; printers; copiers; routers; modems; phones; hard drives etc.

We provide nationwide data destruction and product destruction services under our Data Killers brand.

Turtle Wings / Data Killers is an environmental services company, founded in March 2005 that provides the following services. Turtle Wings provides electronics recycling with complete asset management tracking capabilities. We recycle every type of computer equipment; all metal materials; all batteries and more. We offer pick-up at locations across the mid-Atlantic including DC, Maryland and Virginia. We accept mailed-in items or items delivered to our Maryland location. We offer nationwide services for large corporations and government agencies. We accept a wide range of batteries and other equipment found in data centers and offices. For compliance purposes, we can record serial numbers to provide complete asset tracking. We are an R2 and ISO certified electronics recycler and can document all stages of the recycling process. We are the premier firm for electronics recycling in Maryland, Virginia and DC. Turtle Wings / Data Killers offers data destruction services – both on-site and off-site destruction of all media, including classified media. We perform purging; shredding; crushing; degaussing; incineration of all media. Turtle Wings / Data Killers offers witnessed product destruction by shredding or incineration of any types of materials. In keeping with our environmental mission, incineration takes place in our state-of-the-art waste to energy facilities. We destroy out-of-spec products; confiscated materials and substances; recalled products; and branded materials including clothing and badges. Turtle Wings also performs de-installations of data centers; telecom centers; all types of electronics; and central offices.
