Our Mission - Reduce, Reuse, Recyle

An estimated 40% of all garbage could be diverted from the landfill by utilizing recycling and composting programs. Established in 2004, Gretna Sanitation is a locally owned and operated sanitation, recycling and composting services provider dedicated to landfill diversion. We truly believe that it is the responsibility of every consumer to be environmentally minded and to make good decisions impacting generations to come.
Through recycling, composting, and community programs, we are working within the community to find better ways of handling waste. Gretna Sanitation has established a composting site to reuse and recycle yard waste and we're working to include food waste. Of course, we believe that these programs need to be easy for the consumer in order to provide the greatest impact on our waste footprint.
