We have developed a process to clean and reuse oil absorbent materials and to refine the used oils extracted from the materials. The EPA encourages the recycling of absorbents by exempting their laundering from RCRA and by excluding them from the definition of solid waste.
Closed Loop Recycling provides the most environmentally sound method available for absorbent recycling. It is a true recycle, reuse system. We do not use harmful solvents to clean and sanitize absorbents. There is no waste water discharged, nothing harmful enters the air, land, or sea. Our system eliminates the need for manifesting, record keeping, and waste reporting. We will provide Waste Minimization Reports which will annotate the waste your company has diverted from the landfill or incineration.

About the Company

Rick Marchbanks began our absorbent recycling service in Fulton, Missouri in 1996. In 2007 we moved our facility to Union, Missouri and improved our process to eliminate all solvents. Our environmentally friendly system leaves no manifest and nothing harmful enters the air, land, or sea. While we remain the leader in absorbent recycling, our services have since evolved into a resource for businesses to reduce, reuse, & recycle as well as evaluate and eliminate all types of waste. Closed Loop Recycling is a recycler of oil absorbents. We use a proprietary process in which to remove and recycle the oil absorbed by our products. We then clean and repackage our products for redistribution to our clients as well as recondition the collection drums to DOT specifications. Our process is completely environmentally friendly. It is a true cradle to grave operation. We turn 3 waste streams into 3 reusable products.
