In 1939 Henry Brockgreitens Co-founded Authorized Refrigeration Parts Company, in a small building on West Pine. With a vision in mind and a plan to provide quality equipment and parts to the refrigeration industry, he made his mark in Saint Louis. Shortly there after, in 1948, the company was moved to a larger building at 301 South Vandeventer Avenue; where it continued to flourish and grow to be the largest wholesaler of commercial refrigeration parts in the city. Unfortunately in April 2000, the company was sold and a legend was laid to rest but Now Century carries on the traditions of the 'Old School' way of doing business. The first rule taught to every employee was 'service before the sale' and that same philosophy continues on with Century Tool And Equipment. The old school values that made Authorized a great Company still exist today in Century.
