At AAR Junk, our area of expertise lies in removing any items that you no longer need in Calgary, Chestermere, and nearby regions. However, we do not merely just dispose of these things; we make an effort to find a new home for them before delivering them to the landfill.

We are committed to leaving an environmentally conscious legacy, and to accomplish this, our top priority is recycling and contributing to charitable organizations whenever possible.

OUR STORY

Here’s a bit of the story behind us: When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, everything changed for us, just like it did for many others across the globe. We needed to adapt to the new era, and knowing we wanted to do something for ourselves, we picked up our first pickup truck and started hauling. We grew up in a family where things were barely ever thrown out. If something broke, we fixed it and/or used the material for something else. I still recall my grandfather building many things our family used with just scrap pieces. Although we at AAR Junk are not much of a builder, what we have learned is how to move materials around to be reused, repurposed, or recycled. But let me tell you; it wasn’t easy! We faced lots of challenges and made many mistakes along the way. It was hard to tell if we were doing the right thing or not. Despite all that, we had a dream, and we weren’t about to give up. Eventually, we managed to add a 1-ton truck and even got a friend with a 5-ton truck to join our team. We still have our trusty little pickup truck for smaller hauls. We are proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, although some loads (mixed) are unavoidable in the landfill. We are happy that at least every year we divert a large chunk away from our landfill.

OUR MISSION

We strive to leave our customers clutter-free! People often don’t realize that having too many things in one place, for whatever reason, can negatively impact mental well-being. A neat and organized area typically translates to a clear and peaceful mind. We understand that parting ways with belongings can be difficult, but it’s essential to acknowledge that if something isn’t being used, it’s better to relocate it to where it can be put to good use. It’s time to own your space back!
