Gerke Excavating Inc. in Western Wisconsin has been operating for more than 65 years. In 1947, owner Allan Gerke purchased a dump truck and so began the family business. Allan’s sons, Richard and Paul, started working full time in 1963 and 1965. Richard and Paul took over the company in 1978 – by 1988 and 1993, Paul’s sons started working with the family as well.

Today, Gerke Excavating Inc. consists of 200+ units that include 43 dump trucks, 22 dozers, 34 backhoes, 35 loaders, and more. We have over 300 employees on our team and continue to grow as each year passes.
