R.R. Equipment Company has been serving the aggregate industry for over 50 years. Our vast background includes owning and operating several sand and gravel operations, quarries, trucking companies and concrete businesses.
Our Story
On or about 1957, Robert Rossi, our founder, and his family started a sand and gravel mining operation in Ringwood, New Jersey. Working long hours with a willingness to do “whatever it takes”, the Rossi family built one of the most respected and well known mining organizations in New Jersey. Over time, they purchased various mine sites in New York and New Jersey. Among them are RINGWOOD QUARRY, WEST MILFORD CONCRETE PRODUCTS, RINGWOOD WASHED SAND AND GRAVEL CO., INC.,
EMPIRE STONE, and FORD ROAD MINE. Each site was developed from raw land to fully operational mining operations. Over time, the operations expanded, and new, larger machines were added.
In 1987, Mr. Rossi started R.R. EQUIPMENT COMPANY as a marketing arm for the excess machinery that was left over from expansions and upgrading. In 1989 Robert Rossi, Jr. graduated college and joined Mr. Rossi. Together, R.R. EQUIPMENT COMPANY expanded and began to buy and sell used equipment worldwide. The equipment division began to rebuild, recondition and build portable and stationary plants using both used and new machinery. The larger portable and track mounted plants are marketed under the trademarked names of CRUSHKING and SCREENKING.
In 1995, Mr. Joseph Dininno, family friend and biochemist, was hired to assist in engineering and operations. Mr. Dininno is proficient in autocad computer assisted design and hydraulics. With the Company expanding rapidly and for logistics reasons, R.R. EQUIPMENT COMPANY decided, in 1996, to move the machinery division to a central location on the east coast. The company purchased 34 industrial acres in Lancaster, SC, USA, just south of Charlotte, N.C., and moved the headquarters and main production facility to this location.
In 2001, Robert Rossi, Jr. invented and patented the first impact and jaw bucket crusher attachment known as CRUSH-ALL. Later, Rossi, Jr. invented and patented the REBEL CRUSHER, and he is now working on his latest invention and patent for the SWING SCREEN attachment. Today, under the R.R. EQUIPMENT COMPANY name, we manufacture and market the following trademarked machines: REBEL CRUSHER, CRUSH-ALL, CRUSHKING, SCREENKING and SWING SCREEN. We are delighted that Mr. Rossi, our founder, still plays an active role in the day-to-day processes and decision making. His dedication, work ethic and passion for the industry are contagious and unsurpassed. His leadership, wisdom, and experience are greatly valued.
One of the advantages that R.R. EQUIPMENT COMPANY enjoys is that our owners are actual material producers. We understand the “business” of crushing, screening, recycling and producing material. We can relate to other producers, and we know what it takes to be successful in the material production industry. We understand the importance of buying and using the proper machine(s) in order to be profitable. Our expert design team utilizes their practical experience, ingenuity and creativity to develop and manufacture the latest and most technologically advanced aggregate recycling and processing systems. While implementing the latest design technology, we focus on simplicity and utilize only quality components. American Made, we rely on our experienced and loyal employees to adhere to our high standards and expectations.
We are proud that our employees share our vision and understand the importance of building quality into every machine. We greatly appreciate and admire each one of them, many of whom have been with us for over a decade. Our state-of-the-art fabrication facility has been expanded three times since its inception in 1996, including the most recent 20,000 square foot expansion in 2013 that houses our new machine shop, paint booth and assembly areas.
We strive to provide something for every person who is producing material. From entry level to experienced producers, we offer an extensive array of machines to cover each and every individual application and budget. Our mission is to provide cost effective aggregate processing and recycling solutions. Sometimes, one size does not fit all. Therefore, in addition to our patented products, we offer custom built steel stands, skids and structures, as well as new and used portable crushing, screening, conveying, and washing systems. As your business grows and changes, we want to grow with you. Therefore, we accept trade-ins and purchase entire crushing and screening systems.
No matter where you are located, what machine you purchased or when, our team of skilled and professional technicians are ready and able to serve you. If and when service or support is required, we are available by phone, email or onsite. Having machines operating in some of the world’s most remote locations, our technicians have traveled throughout the world providing installation, service and maintenance support and assistance.
For over half a century, R.R. EQUIPMENT COMPANY’S core principles of integrity, honesty and fairness have gone hand in hand in delivering machinery solutions to an ever changing world. We continue to move forward, to innovate and to be leaders in our relentless effort to provide incredible machines with inherent value.
