Since we started in 2013, we have been and continue to be committed to changing the way people move in South Carolina by providing competitive pricing without hidden fees. We’re not a national chain or franchise. We are a locally owned and family operated business.

Our management team has over 50 years of combined experience in the moving industry, and we are dedicated to making your move less stressful whether you are moving one room from an apartment or a large home on Lake Murray. Our goal is to provide a premium experience and to help reduce the stress and anxiety that moving often brings. We believe expectation is everything. Each mover is background checked and professionally trained to ensure the the best possible experience. Our moving coordinators (we call ’em gurus) are trained, competent estimators with experience and most importantly, knowledge of Columbia and the surrounding areas.

LICENSED + INSURED

Soda City Movers is a fully licensed and insured moving company. The State of South Carolina regulates moving companies, and it is very important that you choose a company who is legal. Beware of fly-by-night movers who advertise on places like Craigslist. Craigslist is great for selling your used bicycle, but is probably not the best way to find a reputable moving company. We can happily provide proof of licensing and insurance to every customer.

JUNK REMOVAL

Our professionally-trained teams are ready to help remove your unwanted items and dispose of them properly and safely. No need to rent a dumpster or set the items out for trash pickup — our removal service can be provided as part of your moving service or as a standalone service. Our crew can haul away and dispose of as much or as little as you need. Whether we’re hauling away unwanted items for a charity pickup, or if you just need furniture disposal to make room for something new, Soda City Movers can provide the service for your home or business.

WHAT WE CAN’T REMOVE

Even though we’re disposing of your junk, there are limitations to what we can remove in our specialized junk trucks. It’s important to be familiar with this list so there aren’t any surprises during your junk removal service that force you to make alternate plans at the last minute.

• Any medical waste or medical supplies
• Household trash or garbage
• Any liquid-based items, hazardous materials, wet paint, chemicals, household cleaners, HAZMAT materials, propane or other flammable items, oil filters, batter, or mercury-based items.
