Asphalt Pavement And Recycling Technologies, Inc. (APART) was formed in April 2001, by Steven Escobar and Robert Staugaard. Former employees of Witco-Golden Bear Division and later Golden Bear Oil Specialties, we have over 50 years combined experience in the testing, evaluation, and marketing of asphalt mixtures, asphalt binders, and related products. We are an accredited Laboratory by AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL).

APART's Primary Functions are:

1. Quality Control/Quality Assurance for New Asphalt Concrete Construction, Asphalt Pavement Recycling and Asphalt Shingles Recycling.

2. A Testing Facility for a Wide Spectrum of Asphalt Products, Asphalts, Emulstions, Mixtures, Recycled Mix Designs, Aggregates, Superpave-Hamburg Wheel-Track, Rubber Asphalt Cements, Bituminous Mixture Forensics, Recycling Agents and others.

3. To Provide Product Development and Marketing of New Products/New Applications for Various Industries.

Our testing includes: Performance Graded (PG) Asphalt Cements, Asphalt Cement and Liquid Asphalt, Emulsified Asphalt, Mixture, Recycling Mix Designs, Slurry Seal and Microsurfacing Systems and Aggregate.
