Wm. D. Scepaniak, Inc. is a national leader in producing and transporting construction aggregate materials. Our family-owned business has now entered its 3rd generation of operation. Our team has expanded to include nearly 100 men and women and continues to grow. But the foundation of our company's culture and growth was laid by our founder during its humble beginnings.

Our company's founder, William D. Scepaniak, Sr., began laying the groundwork for Wm. D. Scepaniak, Inc. in the early part of the 20th century. As a truck driver, he hauled livestock, sand, gravel, and other products throughout the Midwest. The knowledge he gained about aggregate production and trucking during that time laid the foundation for him to launch out on his own as a solopreneur after returning from serving in WWII.

When he returned home, he focused on transporting sand and gravel. Over time, he invested in aggregate processing equipment to offer clients screened rock and sand products. His mining and construction services continued to expand through the 1960s. Finally, in 1970, he officially established Wm. D. Scepaniak, Inc.

Wm. D. Scepaniak, Inc. has continued to expand through the decades under new leadership, just as it did under our founder. Our growth has been due to our commitment to serving our customers with integrity, investing in innovative equipment and technology, and fostering the next generation of leaders in mining and construction. As a result, our operations have grown from our home base in Minnesota. We have completed projects in Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska, and Kansas.

The relentless efforts of the company's team have allowed us to operate out of over 60 pits across North America and provide clients with more than 7 million tons of aggregate material annually. Our plants are configured to ensure high production of spec materials. Our industry-leading portable crushing and screening spreads produce sand, gravel, crushed stone, and recycled aggregate on-site. Our projects range in size from 30,000 to 1,000,000 tons. Our services have expanded from aggregate crushing, screening, hauling, and placing to include aggregate washing, recycling, overburden removal, pit reclamation, road building, and wind energy development.
