Story

Abilities Unlimited of Jonesboro, Inc. was founded April 1, 1963 by a group of concerned citizens spearheaded by the Jonesboro Jaycee's group. A start up grant helped open the first facility and AUI soon became a beacon for the community. Our primary concern is to provide for and assist individuals with disabilities. It is not the Disability in a person, rather the Ability that defines who you are.

For over 50 years, Abilities Unlimited has served Northeast Arkansas through a variety of programs and services for disabled individuals. It is our goal to ensure each client is treated with respect and dignity and receives the care they deserve. Ultimately, we want to create a better quality of life for our clients.

AUI is honored to serve over 300 individuals throughout 18 counties. Through our service programs, we are able to tailor care plans specific to each individual's needs. We continue to diversify supportive programs to meet the needs of our clients and community.
