Colchester House Clearances

Colchester House Clearances provide property clearance services to property owners, landlords and property agents across most of Essex. We cover an area stretching from the M25 at Brentwood across to Colchester, Great Dunmow down to Maldon and almost anywhere in the surrounding areas. Fully licenced, we trade across the wider Essex area as Essex House Clearances, and we’re a small family and friends-run business serving the local community.

Being a small local business we don’t spend fortunes on advertising and instead take care to provide a friendly, personal and efficient service, which is why we get most of our work from customer recommendations. In addition to property clearance on behalf of residential property owners we also provide clearance services for property and estate agents, either on a one-off or regular basis, so if you represent a property management company or landlords and need help with property clearances, please get in touch.

We’re well aware that there are often unhappy circumstances surrounding property clearances and we do our best to be as flexible, discreet and efficient as possible in such cases. As a general rule, most property clearances are completed in a single day but we can split the job over more than one day if that suits your needs.

Unwanted Furniture

We try not to waste anything. During a typical property clearance we often find that some of the furniture we’re asked to remove can be reused or recycled. When this is the case (and when possible) we will try to rehome the items with local charities, or to groups trying to help those on limited incomes. During the covid period this has become harder, with charity shops closed or unable to accept further donations, but hopefully life will return to ‘normal’ soon! Not everything can be reused, obviously, but we are very mindful of not throwing away things that other people would be grateful for.
