Ma.Ris Social Cooperative

MA.RIS. was born on 17 March 1994 with the aim of 'pursuing the general interest of the community in the human promotion and social integration of citizens of all cultures, through the management of social, health and educational services pursuant to law 381/1991.'

Initially founded as a type B Social Cooperative in 2003, with the absorption of Quadrifoglio, MA.RIS. expands its activities to those of a type A social cooperative. The desire was to create a reality where users who had finished the therapeutic program in the community could re-enter civil society already in possession of a job, that is, of that tool useful for the realization of one's self which is the basis of a path of personal redemption.

Activities and services are therefore distinguished between:

Type A Social Cooperative activities (Sector A) which involve the planning and provision of psycho-social health services for the rehabilitation treatment of individuals with addictions and for reintegration into work.

Type B Social Cooperative Activities (Sector B) for the development and initiation of job opportunities for individuals in a socially or economically disadvantaged state according to the dictates of law 381/1991

Values ​​and objectives

MA.RIS. it is governed and regulated by the principles of the cooperative movement, of associations between cooperatives, of respect for the person, of the right of citizenship and social equality between women and men. The underlying values ​​therefore refer to those of mutuality and those linked to the experience of social cooperation which acts as an interlocutor for discussion and support for public social policies.

The motto 'Towards the Individual, towards Society' summarizes the mission of the Cooperative: to be the meeting point that achieves the social inclusion of disadvantaged people, who are thus transformed from patients to resources, creating intrinsic value for civil society . Two fundamental dimensions of the Cooperative are therefore highlighted as a mutualistic and entrepreneurial reality: the first is aimed at the recovery and social and working reintegration of individuals who live their life experience in a context of hardship, while the second is aimed at the community and to the market, with the aim of building commercial relationships based on the offer of professional and quality services. MA.RIS. is registered in the regional and national registers of social cooperation and is therefore recognized as a non-profit organization under Legislative Decree 460/1997.
