Metalcore Srl

C.so Savona, 47, Turin, Torino, Italy | Scrap Metal Recycling

HISTORY

METALCORE was established in 2005 and originates from the activity carried out in various forms by different generations of members in the field of metallurgy. Since 1945 the founder Obbes Balestra, assisted by his father Rodolfo, started the first foundry in a peripheral area of Turin. In the following years, with progressive movements and enlargements, the production through fusion of copper, aluminium, zinc and tin alloys developed. From the 1970s his son Valter participated in the company activity with commercial developments abroad both for products intended for foundries and for the recovery and recycling of metal waste. After the death of the founder and the alternating corporate events linked to the drastic downsizing that the non-ferrous metallurgy sector underwent in the following decades, the advent of the new generation with Matteo and Jacopo Balestra led to the choice of the current size, deemed appropriate based on the different perspectives and characteristics of the market. The resourcefulness of the young members determined the choices aimed at modernization and technological development which still inspire METALCORE's activity today.
