Who we are

Valsir was founded in 1987, on the basis of a precise industrial strategy adopted by Silmar Group - a leading holding company in the plumbing and heating sector with over 900 million euros in turnover and 2,600 employees - which sees its factories located in Italy, in Valsabbia north of Brescia, and abroad in Portugal, Poland, Russia, Romania, Ukraine, France and South Africa.

Valsir today constitutes a solid and expanding reality, within a Group which, through the synergies activated within it and the specific skills brought by each individual member, expresses its true points of cohesion and strength.

Aware of the fact that the commitment to preserve resources represents a moral obligation as well as a responsibility and a testimony to the strong bond between Valsir and the territory , in 2012 we decided to take a further step towards realizing our intentions by investing in a laboratory interior dedicated to the recycling of plastic materials.

The objective was initially to recycle all the plastic waste generated by Valsir and all the companies belonging to the Silmar group in order to produce End of Waste material intended for the external market.

In a short time, the growing requests - in quantity and variety - progressively incentivized the purchase of materials outside the Group for further and constant development of the project from both a technological and production point of view: this is how our Recycling division was born.
