TIALPI - FRELP BY SUN

via P. Micca 15 , Biella, Piedmont, Italy | Glass/Fiberglass Recycling

Photovoltaic: our passion, our history.

In 2012 the company Sasil srl, with its partners the Murano glass experimental station and Pvcycle, began to develop the 'Frelp' project for the complete recovery of photovoltaic panels at the end of their life. Due to the small quantity of end-of-life photovoltaic panels available, Sasil abandoned the project in 2015. In 2019 Tialpi srl, a company participating in Sasil srl, through Minerali Industriali srl, entered into an agreement with Sasil to be able to resume and develop the Frelp project. During 2020 Tialpi integrated the project with some improvements and with the insertion of the prototype in a building with photovoltaic coverage which allows energy autonomy for the first phase of the Frelp by Sun project, which involves the recovery and valorisation of the 81% by weight of the panels, i.e. aluminum and glass. In 2021 the experimental plant was built in Mottalciata (BI) and, thanks to obtaining provincial authorization, from 2022 we are able to process 30 photovoltaic panels/hour. In 2022, thanks to the Frelp by Sun project, we registered Tialpi in the register of innovative SMEs.
