Containers and Packaging Romero, SL
Épila road, nº 43, Miralbueno neighborhood, Zaragoza, Zaragoza, Spain | Wood Recycling
Based in the city of Zaragoza since the early 1980s and having actively participated in the merchandise supply circuits of this capital, the founding partners of the company Containers and Packaging Romero, SL knew how to foresee in time the changes that the Spanish logistics sector had to suffer in recent years and they opted for the business-environment binomial as a future solution with which to supply all the production and distribution companies in our region.
We work daily to optimize the quality-price ratios of our products. The work carried out in the more than twenty years of professional life of our team allows us to have a wide knowledge of the needs of the current market in terms of reliable and competent service . For all these reasons, we work daily to optimize the quality-price ratios of our products while the continuous investment in evaluation and improvement of the different production systems has become one of the factors that differentiate us from the competition.
With an area of about 15,000 square meters of land, the company is made up of four perfectly equipped micro-plants dedicated to the tasks of reception, selection, treatment and recovery of wood, in addition to having a fleet of vehicles and containers of its own. various sizes to fit the needs of each supplier or client.
We have a collection and delivery service through our own fleet of vehicles . Both for the withdrawal and for the delivery of any of our products, the distance will not be a problem since every day we work to improve our response times.
Focusing attention on the manufacturing process of our pallets, the following aspects can be highlighted:
Starting from an immediate collection service focused mainly on the autonomous community of Aragon and its bordering provinces, just one call is enough and, as soon as possible, one of our employees will travel to the indicated place to quote without obligation the available material , facilitating its transport to our warehouses if necessary.
Every pallet received from the extensive national network of suppliers (large stores, other companies, individuals,...) is classified according to model, category and degree of deterioration by the reception area staff for subsequent treatment.
At this point, is when the founding policy of Envases y Embalajes Romero really becomes evident, that is, recycling . Being aware of the need for responsible consumption of the forest resources existing on the planet, 100% of the wood used to repair our pallets (whether boards, slats or blocks) comes from those that are difficult to recover and, after being Properly disassembled, they become our raw material. Although the treatment of said material requires conscientious sanding, trimming and removal of the various metal assembly residues (nails, staples and screws),The founding policy of Envases Romero, SL is recycling.the resulting final product incorporated into our products has nothing to envy to the wood produced in a conventional sawmill.
The demonstrable percentages of recycling in our plant are 93% if we talk about wood that is converted into direct raw materials or new final products, 5% in derived raw materials and 1% in metal compared to the remaining 1% in waste. not recyclable by us such as plastics, cardboard and garbage in general that finally have to be sent to the different management companies for this type of waste.
For all this, and respecting the commitments acquired, all our work and collection processes are directly developed through a Non-Hazardous Waste Management Company with a Certificate granted by the Government of Aragon number AR/GNP-R-308/2009.
Likewise, our assembly line in recent years has developed an incipient production of 'new' pallets made entirely of recycled wood . This fact allows us to adapt our offer to the increasing demand for a non-standard size pallet suitable for storing large materials or whose transport requires special reinforcements that guarantee the life of the product. In this line, the recently created packaging service dedicated to the generation of bins, containers and chests made to measure in recycled wood is proving highly satisfactory .
Given the intrinsically vegetal nature of our raw material as well as the intermediate and final products that are stored in our facilities, it is necessary to adopt protective measures against the introduction into our environment of organisms harmful to plants or plant products as well as against their spread
Pine trees affected by the nematode. . Among this type of threats, the case of the Pine Wood Nematode (Bursaphelenchus xylophilus) stands out , which was detected for the first time in European territory in Portugal, in 1999. In addition to the efforts made in the Portuguese country to prevent its spread of this harmful organism from spreading outside their borders, the rest of the Member States of the European Union adopted a series of surveillance, early warning and control measures against this organism, which seek to prevent the introduction and spread of NMP in the rest of the world. European territory.
Among these measures is the creation through Ministerial Order 13,065 of May 17, 1993 of an Official Registry of Vegetable Producers, Traders and Importers of which we are part according to registration number ES/02/50 - 0498 and that enables the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and the Environment of the Government of Aragon to periodically carry out inspection and sampling work at our facilities that are validated at its Plant Health and Certification Center, certifying that our products are free of pathogens and meet the requirements imposed for those companies in our sector that operate within the European Union.
With an increasingly globalized economy and where Aragonese companies have invested heavily in exports, it was necessary to provide our clients with logistical solutions that enable the international transit of goods.
Seal of Envases Romero, SL according to the International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15 (NIMF-15) From the point of view of the wooden pallets and packaging used in cross-border trade, there is always the risk of spreading pests that affect forest species if it is not guaranteed that these elements are adequately treated according to the measures included in the Standard . International for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15 (ISPM 15) initially approved by the International Plant Protection Commission under the acronym ISPM-15 of the FAO and regulated at the national level by Order AAA/458/2013, of March 11, by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment.
Envases Romero, SL is aware of this problem and tries to respond to the needs of its customers by incorporating into its services not only a channel for personalized advice on logistics and export matters, but also the ability to treat through a thermal process and also mark those pallets. , wooden packaging or components that can be sent across our borders. For this, on March 6, 2014, we obtained the Certificate of Registration in the Official Registry of Wooden Packaging Operators and Marking Authorization number ES-50-0032 HT and we periodically sub
