ECOTIC

ECOTIC is the first organization of producers and importers of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) in Romania, founded in 2006 with the aim of bringing more efficiency in fulfilling their environmental responsibilities.

ECOTIC manages waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) on behalf of approximately 700 affiliated manufacturers and importers .

ECOTIC ensures and supervises the entire process of collection, transport, dismantling and recycling so that, at the end, WEEE no longer represents a danger. 340,000 tons of WEEE have been managed in the ECOTIC system since its inception until today. The prompt and specialized consultancy offered to manufacturers of electrical equipment, batteries and accumulators is a defining element of ECOTIC.

In addition to managing the producers' responsibilities, ECOTIC actively contributes to informing the Romanian population about the importance of the separate collection of these types of waste, through a series of projects dedicated both to schools and companies and to the entire community.
