Provas

Provas is Haderslev Municipality's supply company within drinking water, waste water and waste/recycling.

Our work thus speaks to several of the UN's global goals. Our overall goal, however, is to guide the local consumers to save on our shared resources and get those we use more into circulation.

Below you can read more about what we do:

We are responsible for ensuring that good quality drinking water always comes out of the taps of our water customers. In addition, we work hard to ensure that future generations can enjoy the same good drinking water quality. We do that, among other things by protecting our source sites and by guiding the environment in how we collectively look after the groundwater.

We also ensure that sewers and pumps are always working, so that the waste water can be safely directed down to our treatment plant. Here we clean the water before we circulate it again. Both because we must and want to take care of our water environment, but also because we take our share of responsibility for public health.

Finally, we are also the guarantor of proper collection and sorting of household waste. Then we avoid the waste piling up in the streets. But the collection also ensures that fewer of our scarce resources are wasted. Last, but not least, we operate three recycling sites, where we are always ready to help our customers sort what is handed in. In this way, we help each other so that more of what we discard can be directly reused or recycled.
