Since 1961 we have been active in the ground, road and hydraulic engineering sector (GWW). We have since grown into an important regional player in our sector. We operate from two locations in Friesland (Giekerk and Kootstertille) with approximately one hundred employees throughout the Northern Netherlands, where we are active in the following submarkets: Infrastructure, Green Maintenance, Earthmoving, Dredging, Hydraulic Engineering, Recycling, Demolition Works and Transport.

Thanks to our flat organizational structure, the management is closely involved in the execution of work and a customer-friendly and solution-oriented work attitude is paramount when carrying out your assignments. Together with our core values, we have safeguarded this business philosophy in various quality and safety systems.

For example, we have the certified quality management system ISO 9001 , the safety management system VCA** , the BRL certificate for water bottom remediation and the CO2 performance ladder level 5 for reducing CO2 emissions.

Our goal is to unburden the customer and to be the iconic contractor of the Northern Netherlands in the sectors in which we operate. In doing so, we take our responsibility for the safety, health and privacy of our employees, as well as our responsibilities for a good living environment. Our management system and the KAM care system must therefore actually be complied with in achieving the business objectives, with the applicable legislation serving as a starting point. The system has been set up in accordance with the requirements as described in the NEN-EN-ISO 9001 standard, the Safety Checklist for Contractors VCA**, the BRL 7000 with associated protocols and the CROW publication 132. The management wants processes such as these to be worded or to which referred to in the handbook, are carried out as such by its employees. All employees and also third parties who carry out work on behalf of Jelle Bijlsma must support this policy based on their own responsibility and commitment to the quality of our organization and our services. Jelle Bijlsma is technically, organizationally and financially in control, realizes its activities with its own equipment and with people employed by Jelle Bijlsma as much as possible.
