THE PARKERS STORY

2003

Established in March 2003 from the original family packaging business to focus on the ice cream and dairy packaging sectors. Predominantly a wholesale distributor for global companies such as Huhtamaki and Solo. With 4 staff and 2 labelling machines and a turnover of £400K.

2005

Acquired 2 Van Dam direct printing presses for the decoration of thermoformed cups and lids for the UK yoghurt markets.

2007

Achieved our first accreditation to BRC (British Retail Consortium) Global standard. Since then Parkers have consistently achieved the highest AA grade.

2008

Parker Purchased our second factory in Merseyside UK, expanding our production and storage capacity to 26,000 sq ft.

2009

Invested to our first injection mould production line to produce our first in house packaging for the ice cream theatre market.

2011-14

Major investment into additional larger injection moulding production lines to produce packaging for the UK food service market. Advanced all injection lines production to full automation and started offering decoration via In Mould labelling.

2015

Launched our online website.

2016

Began exporting products to Europe and The Caribbean Islands.

2017

Celebrated winning The Worldwide Business Review in 'Best In Small Business Category' Award.

2018

 Introduced biodegradable and compostable packaging products to our portfolio.

2019

Expanded our production area to facilitate the production of paper cups. £1 million investment into new machinery

2019-20

Pledge to make all our plastic products from 'Fully & Widely Recyclable' materials and introduced recycled content material in some areas.

 2019
