Marathon Waste Transfer, Inc.

Marathon Waste Transfer, Inc. was established in 2014 with the goal of providing the citizens of Marathon a facility where they can efficiently process and dispose of Construction & Debris material.

Our facility will significantly contribute to the recycling goals of the City, County and State. Since more than two-thirds of the C&D received is recyclable, Marathon Waste Transfer will be contributing towards reducing the environmental impact of waste that will now be recycled by MWT in Marathon, instead of being shipped to a land fill.

OUR HISTORY

Since 1990 the owner of Marathon Waste Transfer, Eddie Lopez, started delivering gravel and sand to local residents with a single pickup truck. In 1997 Eddie founded Discount Rock & Sand, Inc, which today is considered the premier company throughout the Florida Keys providing numerous construction related services and materials to both residential and commercial customers. MWT represents an expansion of services to the local community, and a commitment to operating an environmentally driven company. MWT will offer through Discount Rock & Sand the same services they have been providing the residents of Marathon and the Florida Keys for more than 20 years.
