Our Experience

Plant and Design Engineering was established in 1992 by Billy McClean. Having been involved with manufacturing, R&D and management with John Finlay (Engineering Ltd) in the washing plant pision since 1979, he started his own engineering business after the acquirement of Finlay’s by Terex Powerscreen. Since then whilst remaining a small business he has been able to offer a personal, competitive and professional service to all his customers throughout Ireland and Great Britain and indeed many customers have become friends since contact began in 1979 with Finlay’s.

The motto of Finlay Machines in those days was to make them strong and uncomplicated and this has been carried through to Plant and Design Engineering to this day.
