Our Story

United Water & Sewer Co. is a family-owned company that has been in business since 1965. Founded by James Spetz (“Big Jim’), the company was passed down to his three sons in 2003; Jeff, Jimmy and Jon (that’s also when we added a Plumbing Division). Jimmy and Jeff have since retired and Jeff’s two sons Jesse and Nick now own the Company with Jon.

We are now a third generation family run business. Jesse and Nick run the outside utility crews while Jon runs the inside plumbing crew. Jesse bids and oversees every project in the field while Nick helps run the crews. Jon personally overseas the plumbing side of the business in the office and in the field. United Water & Sewer operates today with the same values that were passed down from their grandfather “Big Jim”; work hard and always treat Contractors and employees fairly and honestly and you will retain those relationships for years to come. We are proud to have 20 full-time employees who continue to keep our family’s legacy alive.
