About 15 years ago, being self-employed and running their own business was just a dream for Ralph and Timothy Brasuell, father and son. Ralph finally made the decision to retire from Whirlpool after working about 37 years there, and with the help of their wives, Judy and Cherie, the Brasuells launched River Valley Waste Removal (RVWR).
Through many ups and downs, red tape, equipment challenges, competition, and business growth, RVWR has emerged strong and viable. The company started with running just one waste removal truck, but now runs eight trucks. In addition, they now offer roll-off services and dumpster services.
The Brasuells take pride in their work and in serving Crawford County and the surrounding area and plan to keep growing the business.
