CARI Compliance and Recycling Inc

Based in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, Compliance And Recycling, Inc. (CARI) is a twelve year old company with 60+ years of experience. The company was incorporated in 1995 to satisfy a New England market for industrial wastewater pretreatment products and services. There was a real need for comprehensive service for all aspects of the treatment systems whereby one supplier could service the electromechanical, chemical and design components of a system...a vender who understood all of the above and had familiarity with the customers' wastewater stream as well.

Joe Lander and Bill Matheson spent the first eight years of the companies existence developing the chemical products that are used to get the best performance out of their customers' systems. Many of those systems are membrane microfiltration systems. Recognizing that for water recycling, there was a need for a much tighter microfilter to pre-filter wastewater prior to a Reverse Osmosis system than was available on the market, product development began on a better microfilter membrane. Upon successful development of the new membrane a new Corporation was formed to manufacture and market it worldwide and CARI is the New England distributor.

Both Joe Lander and Bill Matheson have long and successful careers designing, building, operating and servicing wastewater processes and equipment in the metal finishing and electronics manufacturing industries. Prior to CARI they held executive positions at companies that include Romar Technologies, Memtek, Prosys and Aqua Laboratories. Mr. Lander holds BS and MS degrees in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from Boston University. Mr. Matheson holds a BS in Biology with additional coursework in wastewater treatment and Organic Chemistry at the University of Lowell. The newest member of the team, David Spann has 20 years of experience and holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Lowell.
