The public company Simbio provides comprehensive waste management :

public waste collection and removal service in 12 municipalities of the wider Celje region and processing and treatment of waste in the Celje Regional Waste Management Center for 24 municipalities of the Savinja Region.

The Municipality of Celje also takes care of the cleaning of public areas and the removal of faeces.

Where do we perform economic public service?

The company for waste management Simbo, doo, was founded on May 1, 1996 (at that time under the name Javne praži) to perform the public service of waste management. This activity is performed by the company or public company in 12 municipalities: Celje, Vojnik, Dobrna, Štore, Šentjur, Žalec, Braslovče, Prebold, Polzela, Vransko, Tabor and Dobje. 110,000 inhabitants of Celje are involved in organized waste collection, and 50,000 tons of municipal waste are collected annually, which are taken to the Regional Waste Management Center of Celje.

One of the important activities of Simbia is the cleaning of public areas , which it performs in the Celje city center.

Company ownership

The company was founded by four municipalities: the municipality of Celje, which owns 84.1 percent of the company, Vojnik with 8.9 percent ownership, Štore, which owns 4.7 percent of the company, and Dobrna with 2.3 percent.
