Hawkeye Sanitation was incorporated October 1, 1974 and purchased by current owner and CEO Ross Merritt on May 31, 1991.

The safety of our employees, our customers, and the communities we serve are our top priority. Effective immediately and permanently, all business garbage that is not in a dumpster and all residential garbage not in a dumpster will need to be bagged and tied shut. Some exceptions will apply. Please be sure your bag can hold the weight of your garbage, keeping in mind also that each bag is not to exceed 60 pounds. We greatly appreciate your cooperation.
