1980

Founding of ELG Haniel Metals Ltd. in Sheffield (UK)

1985

Acquisition of Steelmet Inc., Pittsburgh, PA (USA), now ELG Metals. inc

1989

Complete takeover of ELG Haniel GmbH by Franz Haniel & Cie. Ltd. _ Acquisition of Figespa SA / Ferinox SA . in Paris / Nanterre (F) 2008 Acquisition of the Utica Alloys Group based in Utica, New York, (USA), now the ELG Utica Alloys Group

2011

Acquisition of Recycled Carbon Fiber Ltd. in Coseley (UK), later ELG Carbon Fiber Ltd.

2016

Founding of the 'ELG Innovation Experience' (EIE) initiative to bundle group-wide innovation and digital activities.

2021

Takeover of the ELG Group by Aperam and consolidation into the Aperam Group on December 31,2021 under a newly created 'Recycling' segment
