RL Services

RL Services roots are deep in Etelä-Savo. The company has been operating in the Mikkeli economic area in transportation for almost 50 years. Grandfather Valtter Rasola worked as a truck driver in the plywood transports of Graan factories from the 30s. His son Risto Rasola became a truck driver, in the late 1960s he founded the open company Rasola & Liukkonen, and waste transport became part of the plans.

In 1973, the limited company RL-Huolinta Oy was founded. The men behind R and L were Risto Rasola and Mauri Liukkonen, Risto Rusanen was also a partner in the company. The company expanded into transportation, rust prevention, car repair shop, gas depot, machine rental and everything else. In the 1980s things were going strong, like everyone else. The recession of the 1990s consumed the company. The company persevered - fortunately there were tenacious employees. Risto Rasola became the main owner of the company over the years - he died in an accident in August 2000.

Risto Rasola's daughters inherited the company. Nina remembers the beginning after a 20-year entrepreneurial career as follows: We were 10 people and a worthless company. The burden was the foreign currency loans and the coincidences that happened in the 90s - the economy was in trouble, the equipment was old and we had every chance of failure.

Environmental maintenance transport is a tricky business – the company is squeezed by municipal waste companies, municipal policy, legislation and large players in the field.

During the last 20 years, the company has developed and renewed itself. Since 2000, Nina Rasola has been responsible for running environmental maintenance activities. The subsidiary RL-Kotipalvelut Oy was established to manage cleaning and home maintenance services. Inga Rasola is responsible for cleaning services - she joined the family company in 2017.

From the beginning of 2019, the name of the company changed to RL-Palvelut Oy. Nina and Inga Rasola jointly own 100% of the company.
