South Karelia Waste Management

South Karelia Waste Management is a circular economy company founded in 1996 owned by nine municipalities. Our partner municipalities are the cities of Lappeenranta and Imatra and the municipalities of Lemi, Luumäki, Parikkala, Rautjärvi, Ruokolahti, Savitaipale and Taipalsaari. About 127,000 inhabitants live in the company's operating area.

On behalf of our owner municipalities, we manage the following waste management service tasks that are the responsibility of the municipality:

Transportation of dry and organic waste organized by the municipality

Transportation of packaging waste organized by the municipality

Maintenance, development and organization of transports of the supplementary eco-point network

Collections (hazardous waste, garden waste)

Planning, implementation and maintenance of waste reception, utilization and final disposal activities under the responsibility of municipalities

We offer versatile treatment options for the treatment of masses created during the cleaning of contaminated land areas. We also offer reception services for various types of construction and business waste.
